At 7N, the heart of our business lies in our dedicated consultants. Each day, they apply their expertise and go above and beyond to assist our clients in achieving the best possible solutions. It is for this reason that we aim to shine a spotlight on the remarkable efforts of some of our consultants, who are fueled by their knowledge, commitment, and wealth of experience. Let's unleash their performance.

Mikael B. Jakobsen, Heine K. Gundersen, Kenneth Bess, Jukka Koskelin & Anssi Järvinen are some of our excellent, high-performing IT consultants. Their combined outstanding effort came to the forefront in a recent project at one of 7N's clients in the energy sector. The 7N consultants were hired into the Cloud Center of Excellence team to help develop a Cloud Platform in critical infrastructure.

The company has a complex IT infrastructure and system landscape, which they continuously invest in for further development. As part of this, a task was set to build a common enterprise cloud platform that can accommodate all the company's current and future workloads and ensure that they comply with the company's IT Security and IT architecture principles.

The 7N consultants delivered in the roles of Cloud Architect and Cloud Engineers but have, in general, been instrumental in designing the architecture and creating the code for the platform and individual workloads.

In collaboration with other platform teams, it was decided to adapt the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework to the company's needs, a task the team successfully solved. Among other things, they created a separate test environment to match the current test/production setup and provide better support for the current requirements for change management, and not to test the platform infrastructure in production. The platform's architecture has been designed to be modular, so all elements can be scaled and duplicated as needed or updated or replaced individually.

It was a must that the platform could ensure that all future workloads could communicate securely across and expose external services to the greatest extent possible according to the Zero Trust principles of combining network security with identity management, micro-segmentation, and continuous analysis across the environment. Something the team has made sure is possible in the new infrastructure.

In a relatively short time, the team has designed and delivered impartial advice in the best 7N spirit in the client's best interest on a cloud platform, taking into account the security of critical infrastructure and scalability.

We are lucky and proud to work with such a dedicated and professional team. We hope to continue our work together for many years in the future!
