Lars Veng is one of our excellent, high-performing IT consultants. In a project for one of our clients in the healthcare industry, Lars had an innovative and creative change management approach to ensure the results needed.

When our client acquired another company, it was decided that the acquired company should eventually implement all the existing IT platforms of the corporation and adapt their work processes. Due to the high level of complexity in such a project, the management assessed it as a "high-risk project" and hence, a critical project to the business. Based on experiences from previous similar projects, it was decided that the project team should work in a structured manner with the change management and leadership, which included a focus on sponsor involvement, temperature measurements, and ongoing communication. It became the primary task for Lars to ensure these things were lived out, a task he performed with great success. 7N's client experienced how 60-70 employees successfully went from one operational context to a completely different one, and three months after the Go Live the company could measure a productivity level of back on 100%.

Lars managed to take a structured approach to change management, where he applied ADKAR®2 and further linked the change management efforts to the PRINCE2 management model 3. Moreover, he established a strong communication strategy and action. The client experienced how Lars’ innovative, creative, and learning approach created a positive impact and good results. It has influenced the way projects are now delivered within the company, where Change management and leadership are now included as an explicit component. The project has therefore been used as a model for other change projects in the company. As an example, the learnings from this project were applied in the integration and transition of another acquired company.
