About this workshop

Hands-on software development with AI
Led by an expert instructor, you will witness the development of a utility app —an app designed to scan a local network for SQL Servers and provide comprehensive server information. This application will be built on .Net 8 and C# 12. ​

Follow along and replicate the development on your own computer, or feel free to work on your own projects. The session encourages hands-on development, ensuring an interactive and engaging experience. ​

Utilizing the chat window on ChatGPT's website, we'll delve into the development process, with a sneak peek at the potential use of the new GitHub Copilot Chat (currently in preview, with limited access). Join us for a workshop that combines practical insights with real-time coding experiences, elevating your software development skills.

Your instructor
The instructor is a 7N consultant and works at AURA as a solution and integration architect. He is an expert in software development with more than 25 years of experience and loves developing, selling, and delivering it. He enjoys seeing customers and users achieve great success with the software. In addition to being an expert as a hands-on software developer and architect, he is a business entrepreneur, technical salesperson, mentor, and leader.

You will need access to:

  • Visual Studio 2022​
  • .Net 8 SDK​
  • ChatGPT (GPT-4 recommended – paid version). ​
  • Locally installed MS SQL Server – recommended for debugging the utility app.​
  • Source Compare tool – the instructor uses Beyond Compare
